A Natural Remedy for Pain and Rheumatism. In Asian medicine, White Willow is also considered a remedy for jaundice. Its effectiveness for this problem has not, however, been verified. White Willow has been in use since the time of the Romans. It is thought to be the original source of the drug we now call aspirin. A tree some 20 to 50 in height, White Willow is native to central and southern Europe. Its medicinal value lies in the bark.
