A Natural Remedy for Pain and Rheumatism. In Asian medicine, Willow Bark is also considered a remedy for jaundice. Its effectiveness for this problem has not, however, been verified. Willow Bark has been in use since the time of the Romans. It is thought to be the original source of the drug we now call aspirin. A tree some 20 to 50 in height, Willow Bark is native to central and southern Europe. Its medicinal value lies in the bark.
