Crampbark is a herb with the botanical name Viburnum opulus and is a member of the Caprifoliaceae family of plants. Crampbark is found growing naturally in Europe, Great Britain and Europe and is a large bush growing to a height of about 2.5 m. Distinctive large snow white flowers up to 12 cm across grow from the bush. The bark is about 1 to 2 mm thick and is greyish brown in colour. It has a bitter taste.Crampbark has been historically used as an uterine sedative.
